Biz Labels

Returns Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Every Biz Labels product is custom-printed to your own artwork and specifications, so we cannot resell or restock a returned order. That means we do not offer change-of-mind returns. What we do offer is a reprint or a refund whenever the fault is ours — if your order arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect, or materially different from the proof you approved, we will make it right. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

1. Change of Mind

Custom-printed products are exempt from change-of-mind returns. Once your artwork has been printed, we are not able to accept a return or issue a refund simply because you no longer want the item, ordered the wrong quantity or size, or found a different supplier. Please check your proof carefully before approving it.

2. When We Reprint or Refund

We will reprint your order at no charge, or refund it in full, if:

Where a reprint is the appropriate remedy, we cover the reprint and the return freight. Where the fault is major, you may choose a refund instead of a reprint.

3. Approved Proofs

A team member reviews every custom job and emails a proof for your approval before anything is printed. Once you approve that proof, it becomes the specification we print to. We cannot offer a reprint or refund for errors that were present in the approved proof — including spelling and grammar, incorrect phone numbers or URLs, wrong barcode or batch data, and artwork supplied below 300 DPI. Please read your proof word for word before approving it.

4. Colour Variation

Screens emit light and printers lay down ink, so on-screen colour is a guide, not a guarantee. Printed colour can vary from what you see on your monitor, and slight variation can also occur between print runs of the same artwork. This is a normal characteristic of commercial printing and is not considered a fault. If exact colour matching matters to your brand, tell us before you approve your proof and we will discuss a colour-matched or pre-production sample.

5. Production Tolerances

The following variations are standard in the printing industry and are not treated as defects:

6. Damaged or Missing Deliveries

Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If the parcel or its contents are damaged, keep the packaging and email us photographs of the damage before disposing of anything — our freight carriers require this to process a claim. If your tracking shows delivered but nothing has arrived, contact us within 7 days of the delivery date so we can lodge an enquiry with the carrier.

7. How to Make a Claim

Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order at info@bizlabels.com.au and include:

We assess claims within 2 business days. Do not discard or destroy the product until your claim has been assessed — we may ask you to return all or part of the order at our cost, and we may need it for a carrier or supplier claim. Claims made outside the 14-day window may still be considered where a consumer guarantee under Australian Consumer Law applies.

8. Cancellations

You can cancel free of charge at any time before you approve your proof or before production begins, whichever is earlier — just email or call us, and any payment already made is refunded in full. Once production has commenced the order cannot be cancelled, because the materials have been committed and the job is already on press.

9. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method — card and PayPal refunds go back through Braintree, bank transfers are returned to the account the payment came from. Please allow 5–10 business days for the funds to appear, depending on your bank. Where you would prefer it, we can instead credit your Biz Labels account so the amount is applied automatically to your next order. Orders paid on account terms are credited against the outstanding invoice.

10. Artwork You Supply

We print the files you supply. We do not correct spelling, colour mode, resolution or bleed in supplied artwork unless you ask us to and we confirm it in writing on the proof. Files supplied in RGB are converted to CMYK for printing, which can shift colour (see section 4), and raster files below 300 DPI will print soft. Reprints are not available for these outcomes where the proof was approved.

11. Your Australian Consumer Law Rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. This policy operates in addition to those rights, not instead of them.
